75th ANNIVERSARY SPLASH

Sebago Canoe Club a 501 C3 not-for-profit organization is proud to announce its 75th Anniversary Splash will be held on Thursday November 6, 2008 at the Picnic House in Prospect Park Brooklyn. MARK YOUR CALENDARS!

 
All proceeds from this event will go towards the building of our much needed new dock. (click to see dock plan) This dock has served us faithfully for the past 45+ years, but is on it's ' last leg'. The new dock plan features a longer ramp (decreasing the pitch of the ramp at low tide), a wider ramp (allowing more than one boat to be carried up or down the ramp at a time), a different and larger dock platform (to better accomodate our various boats). We welcome any and all donations towards this project.
 
We invite our friends from the paddling community to join us on this historic evening. Tickets to the 75th Anniversary Splash will be available for purchase in September on this website.
 
The ticket price will be $60.00 and will include dinner (The food alone will be worth the price of admission). MUSIC, SLIDESHOWS, FREE PADDLING GIVEAWAYS and MANY SUPRISES.
 
Your admission ticket will also include 1 FREE RAFFLE TICKET. We are currently approaching boat manufacturers for sponsorship and we expect to have a complete kayak or canoe packages as the grand prize. There will also be paddling gear and other prizes such as a year's free membership and free boat storage for a year.
 
Make sure that you enhance your chances by buying additional raffle tickets. Raffle tickets will go on sale in September and will also be available for purchase during the event.

There will also be a silent auction during the evening, if you have never bid in a silent auction; you are in for a treat.
 
Everyone who attends the evenings events will also receive a FREE copy of the 75th Anniversary Splash Program. We hope that our friends from other clubs will want to take out an ad and say congratulations to Sebago on 75 great paddling years and help contribute funds to our new dock.
